Cocktails and Pixie Dust

I went to the most marvelous cocktail party this past Saturday and for the life of me, I can’t distill what made it so wonderful. This hostess truly has a gift of the cocktail party: lots of yummy cheeses, olives, plenty of drinks and no more than 25 people. Pretty much everyone worked in film or tv, yet “shop talk” was limited. Lots of impressive people with no egos. I was there for about 2 hours, yet felt so satiated like we had spent the day together. I think my friend used a little pixie dust to make it such a delightful evening. Auntie thinks differently. She thinks its simple: my friend is naturally gracious, generous and charming and attracts similar people into her life.

Auntie’s Advice: The success of any party or project is based on the quality of its participants. And who shows up at your door, your table or your film set, is a reflection of you.
